Today’s Thought: How to Stay Motivated

by, Corey Wells

Motivation starts with a goal. What is it your really want from life. What is it that absolutely pains you to live without. If you don’t have that burning desire, than you really don’t have a goal. You have to want something so bad it hurts.

Once you have your goal and it’s something that you can’t live without, motivation becomes easy. Simply focus on what you want and the steps you have to take to get there. Create a path for yourself. Once you have the plan, it’s as simple as following it. Just focus on the next step.

If, things change or are not leading you to your ultimate goal. Then change your path. Scout out a new way to get you where you want to go. Don’t give in to temporary road blocks, where there is a will there is a way!

So how do you stay motivated.

  1. Decide what you really want. Make it something that you can’t live without. Something that causes you to feel pain because you don’t have it now.
  2. Decide that this goal will be yours. No matter what you’ll do everything you, ethically, can to achieve this goal.
  3. Create a plan to reach your goal. Make simple steps that you will follow everyday that will lead you to your ultimate goal.
  4. Change directions if you hit a road block. Don’t let anything stop you…
  5. Don’t Quit! If you created the goal, you can achieve the goal. You can do anything you set your mind on. The only limitation facing you is yourself. Don’t get in the way of your dreams.
