8quotes.com May 19th, 2008Today’s Thought:
Fears
by, Corey Wells
There are many fears that hold us back in life. The Fear of Rejection, The Fear of Failure, The Fear of Success, and The Fear of Embarrassment. Over the next four episodes I’d like to take a close look at each of these fears. For now… ask yourself the following question: What is the fear that is holding me back in life? Take a close look at the Fear of Success. Over my career Coaching and Advising people this is the fear that keeps coming up. But… most people have no idea that the Fear of Success is holding them back. In our next episode we’ll start our look at fears with the fear of failure.
Let’s get started with today’s quotes.
- “One feels inclined to say that the intention that man should be “happy” is not included in the plan of “Creation.”
SIGMUND FREUD, - Patience, n. A minor form of despair, disguised as a virtue.
AMBROSE BIERCE, - “There’s always a way if you’re committed.”
Anthony Robbins - “My mistakes are my life.”
SAMUEL BECKETT, - “Ambition can creep as well as soar.”
EDMUND BURKE, - “Reality is a question of perspective; the further you get from the past, the more concrete and plausible it seems—but as you approach the present, it inevitably seems incredible.”
SALMAN RUSHDIE, - “Fear less, hope more;
Whine less, breathe more;
Talk less, say more;
Hate less, love more;
And all good things are yours.”
Swedish Proverb - ” The great corrupter of public man is the ego….Looking at the mirror distracts one’s attention from the problem.”
